I came of age on 14th January. My ceremony held at Kikuyo town and I met many junior high school students. On that day, I woke up at 3: 45 to set my hair, makeup and Kimono. My Kimono is my mother's hand-me-down and it is my favorite. I was happy to wear my mother's kimono and her too. It was very busy day but I had a very good time and want to appreciate to my parents.

Friends

I have to buy cloth to wear on my high school alumni association. It will held at hotel in the city so I can't wear strange cloth. I and my mother went to the city to buy it. After all I could get a nice one. When we go back to my gramna's house, my cousin was waiting !! Then I showed them the cloth. The cousin seemed want to wear my cloth so she tried to wear it. She looked very happy and it suited on her.

Kurokawa hot spring

Kurokawa hot spring is famous in Kyusyu. I have never been to there, but finally I went to there !!! It had many kinds of hot spring, and we could choose until 3 and take them with 1500 yen. It was so good. When we take it, no one in the hot spring so it was reserved. But after we take third hot spring, we felt dizzy. We had a really good relaxation. I recommend you to go to there.

Hard part time

The winter program was begin at YMCA. I think this season is the hardest !!! On the morning, I wake up at seven, and go to skate link. I have to care our students. However, the link is so cold and I have to stand the link side for 4 hours !!! In the afternoon, I have two swimming classes. Then the time that the class finish is at 5pm. When I go back to home, fall asleep soon.

Short trip to Oita !!

I enjoyed skiing with my club members at Kuju in Oita. It passed long time to ski so I really worried weather I can ski well or not. But I think that I was the best skier of the member. haha Boys are good at snowboarding. At night we enjoyed throwing pillow. It reminded me high school days.

I working at YMCA. Not only I am teaching swimming to children, but also gym. This week is the last week which I work because I will go to New Zealand. On friday, I had a big work for me. It is teaching Japanese to foreigner. I taught to a Chinese lady. She couldn't speak Japanese well, so it was difficult to communicate. But she was lovely and earnest, so we could move the lesson smoothly. When we couldn't understand what each say, we used English. But I thought that the pronounciation of China and Japan is different. I really had a good time with her and looking forward to meet her next time. I need preparation.

An injection

I went to hospital to have an injection of influenza. I really hate an injection so I didn't go to hospital until now. However, my mother told me to go because I will study abroad near at hand in New Zealand. I was really nervous when I into the doctor's room. But surprisingly, the injection wasn't hurt at all. I thought that he has a god hand. haha Therefore, I won't suffer from the influenza this year !!!

I and my high school friends went to Mashiki to see illumination. I have never been to there, so when we see it, it made me excited !!! The most beautiful illumination for me was dolphins. It shone blue as if we were in the water. There were many families and couples, and they also looked happy. I really recommend to go to there !!!

Host family !!

Today my host family in New Zealand was decided. I will stay with a family which has five members and two international students from German and China. They have three daughters which is seven, five and three years old. I really happy that the family has little children. I like children but I know that the English which children speaks is difficult to understand, so I want to play with them first. I'm looking forward to seeing them !!

I'll leave Japan on January 27th, so it has only 2 months to stay in Japan. I really looking forward to staying in New Zealand, but also have worry. Clean up

On Sunday, I went to Nodoka's house in Tamana to clean her room. When I saw her room, I was surprised and laughed because her room was full of clothes. First, we started to pick up summer clothes. Then she choose clothes which she will needs from now on. After that, we put back them. It took about 4 hours to clean up, so we were so tired. However, Nodoka was appreciated me so it made me happy. Next time to clean up, I'll go again. Good job Keiko !!!

Essay about Kumamoto

Today I'm going to talk about Kumamoto which I visited in last summer vacation. I will tell you about Myoukengaura in Amamkusa, Tujunkyou in Yabe and Aso.

Myoukengaura
I went to Myoukengaura to dive in the sea. I have never go there and It takes about 2 and half hours by car. The population of Amakusa is about 97400. Do you know where is Myoukengaura ?
There is west of Kumamoto. When you dive, you can see many fish. I saw the fish which kinds of the movie, “The finding NEMO” It made me so excited. If you want to dive, I recommend to go to Myoukengaura.

Tujunkyou
I wen to Tujunkyou with my friend and our host students. We arrived at 5 minutes before that starts waterfall. It was nice view, but little bit scary. This waterfall can see at 12pm everyday and getting out about 20 minutes. Of course it is free !! Our host students looked really happy to see it. If you lucky, you may see the rainbow beyond the bridge!!

Aso
I and my high school friends wen to Aso to feel coolness. There was cool and water was clear and cold. We went to there by a rent car so we could visit many places in Aso. For example, Yusui tunnel. We could see strange move of water and feel coolness. Many people were there, so I thought that everyone think same thing. Then we went to ice cream shop where famous for soft cream. It was delicious !! It is called, “Yamada farm”

In this vacation, I found that Kumamoto has many good places to visit. If you visit Kumamoto, please try to visit these places which I introduced today. You must be enjoy your holiday !!!

Today I had a 5 minutes speech in the class. The topic was “education”.　I decided to speak about Japanese education but 5 minutes was too long for me and I worried that my speech is good or not. On Misato's birthday

On Sunday, I and my friend celebrated Misato's 20th birthday. We went to the cafe, and had a lunch together. When we ordered the cakes, we stuck this candles. After the lunch, we went to Karaoke and sang for 2 hours. We really enjoyed to sing !! We sang Enka, English song and so on. We will be good pals forever !!!

Today I will talk about my hometown, Kumamoto. The other day, I went to Kinpouzan to see night view. It takes about 30 minutes from Kumamoto Gakuen University. When we arrived there, it was so cold !!! However, we could see very beautiful view from there because the time was still early. We enjoyed the view very much. Also, my club go to the mountain on the foot. The reason is my club is take a walk club. I have never felt that the night view is a beautiful but this time I could feel it was beautiful. The last day of our school festival was so great !!!!! This is my squad members. I really like them !! We made a celebrity room and I think we made a cool one. We couldn't get a prize but this experience was need for us. Then I am sure that we get a prize next year !!! Last of the festival, we could see fireworks and it was wonderful. swimming test

Three times a year, my part time job has a big event. It called "Wappen Test" We have to check children's skill and tell their parents. Before start the test, we have to prepare called Testing. It is useful for to know present children's skill. To write it, leader takes a long time with free pay. And when the test finish, we must write Personal record list. It is like a report card. We write a short message for them. Lastly, we have to tell their parents about their skill. It is very hard for me, but I am thinking this is good experience .

My favorite place in Kumamoto is Myoukengaura in Amakusa. Do you know there ? It takes 2 and half hours by car from Kumamoto city. I have been to there once and did scuba diving there. I could see many fish and sea was clean. I dived about 20 minutes and had a wonderful time !!! I didn’t know that Kumamoto has such a beautiful place. I thought that I want to go there again with a scuba diving license. (80 words)

Yesterday, my friend who live in dormitory called me and said 'Come to our dormitory !!' I need to prepare for culture festival, but I want to talk with them. So I went to their dormitory at night. I was lost so I arrived there late. I felt really sorry about them. Suddenly someone say that let's go to Karaoke !! I was so tired but I went to there. We sang about 2 hours and I had a very good time with them. I went to there with 5 people and everyone sings very well !!! I surprised about it. We sang many kinds of songs. Japanese, English, Korea and so on. When we finish the Karaoke, I need to go back to home because I have some homework. Finally, I went back home at almost 12am and I went to bed soon. I had a good time but I need sleep.

I like Kumamoto expect the weather. I think weather of Kumamoto is terrible. Especially this year, Kumamoto had a long summer. I tired of that weather, and I was thinking that about winter. One of a exchange student helped me recently. I will go to NZ for 5 month from January. His name is Denny who is from NZ. His Japanese is excellent and I wanna speak English like he speaks Japanese. When I talked him last week, I really disappointed of myself. Because My Japanese were poor. I really shocked about it but I found that I need to study more. He gave me a chance to study English more. From today, I will start TOEFL's study.

Examination

Today I had a test to get a licence of Japanese teacher in Fukuoka. I and Misato went to there by bus at night. Then, we lost in Tenjin station; When we arrived the hotel, we were very tired. We had a test from 10am to 5pm, so it was hard for us. After the test, we did shopping around the Tenjin. I had a good time, then I came back to my house 10pm. Today was tired day, but good experience for me.

Every Saturday, I have a part time job all day. The day I have 5 classes so it made me tired. Maybe everyone know what I am doing. I am a swimming teacher at YMCA. From next week, I will have a test for children so it will be hard week for me... haahaa;

This weekend

This weekend was very hard. On Saturday, we had a parade around the kumamoto city. It was for culture festival on November. We wore the nice costume and shoulder a Mikoshi then we walked the city. Everyone seemed surprised a little bit, but they say “wow great !”It made us happy. We walk all day so tired, but I could make good memory !
On Sunday, I went to the sports festival of my cousin. When she saw me, she said “ Thank you for coming today !” It was cute.

One of my favorite food is stew !!! Especially my mother made. Last week my mother cooked it for a dinner. It was so good ! When I eat stew, I also eat a bread. I think it is nice duo, isn’t it ? Last Friday, I went to a welcome party for the exchange students. There are 120 people and very crowded. They cooked for us many traditional foods and drink. We talked a lot and became friends. My Summer 2007

The best memory of this summer is scuba diving !!! I went to Amakusa on September and dived !! It was first time for me to dive, so it made me very nervous. But I got accustomed to the situation and could dive with relax. As I dive the sea, I could see so many fish !! I was really touched by a fish that kinds of NEMO !!!!! It was so cute ! Anyway, I dived 7 meters, and I had a good time at there. I decided to get a diving licence next summer !!!

I am a student at KGU. I am a second grade and I got many good friends here. Today, I will introduce about them. Eibei friends are very talkative. I spend almost time with them, having lunch, taking class, talking and so on. Thanks for them I can spend nice University life. Sanpo club friends are very active and friendly. Kokai shopping arcade

I went to Kokai shopping arcade with Tejon University students. They are Korean, I joined the Japanese class of them on Monday. We get along with them, so Japanese teacher asked us to help again. The arcade was not so interesting, but we enjoyed talking and taking pictures. I think their Japanese are great !!! I wanna talk with them more, and I hope that they will have fun Japanese life !!
